Was really excited.. This is my first seminar, and honestly, after lunch i was half asleep, coz it was nap time!!!
--> Rachel was in my group.. I was appointed as group leader.. But i appointed everyone in my group to take turn to speak.. Hee hee
Rachel gave me "The Screwtape Letters" by C. S. Lewis.. Would really love to have it under my book study blog.. But I would have to write in to the publishers coz of copyrights issues.. So hang on peeps!
Ang baos (red packets containing love gifts) were given by two loving Deaconesses in my group too. They are really like my aunties in real life..
--> This is Jaime.. She had to leave the seminar half way, i think because of school. Nonetheless, she had her turn to share on behalf of the group
She gave me a notebook (I LOVE NOTEBOOKS!), a handphone pouch and a pencil case =)
The lighthouse tile flew in from Chiangmai! There was a message written by one of my Thai friends whom i do miss a lot, her name is Jinn.. She accepted Christ when Gwyn and I were there.
--> Sunday Lunch treat from Sis Diana. Went to this cool Jap Buffet restaurant at Jurong Point. Really nice food, had to restraint myself so so many times.. Super sad, but still, the company melts all sadness away!
Spent time with her and Jasmine wondering and shopping around, purpose was to mainly walk our fats away...
Presents from JAsmine... Loved the card the most!! hee
Present from Peiling.. Also another book I was interested in! Need to search for the publisher..
Meet my youngest friend, Jean (6). When she was 3, she wouldnt go near me. So i said hi to her every Sunday for the whole year! And when she was 4, we became friends. We make it a point to run around the playground on Sunday, buy each other yakult (which I cant drink), and just "hang" around the monkey bar..
Present from Sis Serena (Elder Sis of Sis Diana), Jean, Hans and Sean (older brothers of Jean)
My cuddly friend, yes, its as big as the pillow.. and takes up half my bed.. Haha.. Looks like I have to lose more weight to sleep comfortably with Pooh next to me..
In short, there were no birthday cakes (coz i cant eat and i dont like), no surprises. But it's been the most most meaningful birthday I ever spent in my 28 years on earth.
All things are possible because God graciously allowed it to be.
When the Speaker (Bro John) asked, "Is Church considered your 2nd home?" To me, it is my first home.
If this home is so warm and wonderful, I really cant imagine what Heaven is like..
Enough said.. Check out my food blog..
