2011 New Year Movie Marathon

Gwyneth, Jasmine, Rachel, Jaime, Aisin and me were invited to Jocelyn's house for a disney movie marathon. When Rachel and I first reached her house, Jaime was already there, watching Bewitched. We watched it too while waiting for Gwyn, Aisin and Jasmine.

When they reached around 1am, we all decided to watch Little Mermaid. It brought back so many fond memories. And then at some point in time, we realised the movie ain't really teaching the right message all the time.. Because, the little Mermaid was 16 and talking about being in love.. haha.. but we enjoyed it anyway..

Then we decided to watch Toy Story 3 because Jocelyn and Aisin haven watched yet. So we turned it on, while Gwyneth make her way home, Rachel and Jaime went to sleep. We were watching halfway, when Jasmine and I realised we were the only 2 laughing.. Jocelyn and Aisin had given in to their beauty sleep..

We went to sleep at about 3:30am, and by 7 plus am, we were awake.. We dilly dally around the house and at about 9am plus, we did a group devotion, and resolution making. Unknowningly, I became the leader of that sharing because, i think it's because i was the oldest, I shared about growing in Faith from 2 Peter 1:3-11 (which would be my QT for the next two days)

Growing in Faith
 ³ By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. ⁴ And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
 ⁵ In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, ⁶ and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, ⁷ and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
 ⁸ The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.
 ¹⁰ So, dear brothers and sisters,^[c] work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. ¹¹ Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I emphasized especially on verses 5-7. We had a round of thanksgiving and prayer requests. we then got on our knees, prayed for each other and our Church leaders too.

We went for breakfast, and Jaime went home after that to rest. the rest of us proceeded back to Joc's house to have Work-In-Progress meeting. After that, Rachel went home.

We watched Lion King in the afternoon, half way through I couldnt take it anymore and went to nap. Joc, Jas and Aisin watched Lion King and Toy Story 3. Later that night, channel 5 was showing Aladdin. After dinner, we watched a bit of Aladdin, before Jas and Aixin made their way home.. I stayed on till about 9pm, and proceeded to make my way too..

I think it was a great way to spend my New Year.
